Privacy Policy
Thanks, Brain is built so that there is almost nothing to write a privacy policy about. Here is the whole of it.
What we collect
Nothing. Thanks, Brain has no account system, no server, no sync, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. The app's App Store privacy label reads “Data Not Collected,” and that label is accurate.
What happens to the thoughts you write
They are never saved. Text you write in Thanks, Brain exists only on your screen, only until you destroy it. It is not stored on your device, not transmitted anywhere, and not analyzed by anything. Once destroyed, it is gone — that is the entire point of the app.
What stays on your device
The app stores exactly two things, locally on your device only:
- Your settings (for example, your preferred destruction method).
- The nicknames and counts of any “Regulars” you create — the nickname you chose, never a word of what you wrote.
This data never leaves your device. Deleting the app deletes it.
The tip jar
Tips are optional in-app purchases processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no personal or payment information about you — Apple's own privacy policy governs the transaction.
Children
We do not collect data from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If the app's behavior ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the effective date above.
